Centrix R53 Release Notes

Release VersionCentrix R53
Release Date (Staging)20 November 2015
Release Date (Production)25 November 2015
Summary
  • More intuitive automatic y-axis on the browser graphs.
  • Initialise debounce virtual channels when events arrive on other channels on the site, so a debounce on a channel that never changes still gets an initial state event.

  • Introduce a HTML5 version of the State Transition Counts report.

  • Add a new HTML5 report on points swing counts.

Analogue graph axis improvements

Previously, when channels were configured with auto axis settings on the graph widget, Centrix simply determined the scale of the axis based on the minimum and maximum value on that channel. If you added multiple channels that had a very similar scale, they would still be created with their own y-axis, this could result in many axes that are almost identical.

Centrix now uses the Units of a channel to combine channels onto a single axis (if a channel has the scaling configured as Auto). This means that similar channels should now be automatically added to the same y-axis with a sensible range configured as the min/max of all the channels on the axis.

For this functionality to work as expected it is recommended that you configure the units on your channels. This can be done through the channel mapping screen (in Loggers) or via the Channels page. Unfortunately, the protocol used to transfer channel information between the logger and Centrix does not include the units, therefore you have to configure them manually in Centrix, even if you have already configured them from within the logger.
