Direct cable connection

Connect the logger to a computer using a crossed RJ45 network cable. If a crossed network cable is not available, two 'normal' RJ45 cables and a hub can be used

Wait approximately 60 seconds for the logger to assign an IP address to your computer.

Start Internet Explorer on the computer and enter the logger’s IP address
(eg http://10.0.1.1:80/)

DHCP Server

The SA380TX can act as a DHCP allocator (to allow direct cable connections). From firmware revision 1211 onward, this behaviour can be prevented in the logger's XML configuration by setting <dhcp>0</dhcp> in the ConfigEth section, or by selecting a connection profile whose bearer type is "ethernet".

The SA380TX is factory-set with a fixed IP address of 10.0.1.1:80. This address can be changed – see the 'How to change the IP address' section in Local Access.

Internet / intranet

If the logger is connected to a company network, its IP address will have been set when the unit was commissioned.

To access the logger, type the address into your browser eg. http://138.60.225.10
