Multi Factor Authentication

This page details how to setup multi factor authentication (MFA) on your Centrix account.

Setting up MFA

After logging in with your username and password you will be redirected to the MFA setup page.

From here you have two options, enable MFA and proceed with the setup or skip.
Skipping MFA setup will finish the login process and navigate you to the URL you entered or the Centrix dashboard.

If you choose to skip the MFA setup you will be reminded by this page every 30 days.

If you choose to enable MFA the setup instructions will appear.

To continue download an authenticator app on a mobile device and either scan the QR code or enter the code above, then enter the 6 digit code from the authenticator app.

Re-authenticating

After setting up MFA, you will be required to re-authenticate every 30 days per browser and every time a Centrix release is performed.

On your phone, open the authenticator app that you downloaded whilst enabling MFA. Find the code that is associated with your Centrix account (this will update every 30 seconds). Type the code into Centrix where it asks for the MFA Code and click Submit.

It is not recommended to share accounts as this will mean you cannot use the multi factor authentication (MFA) on a single device. The MFA provides an extra layer of security and is therefore recommended for all users of Centrix.

If you have any problems while using MFA with your Centrix account, please contact service@mpec.co.uk
