New Features
Firmware Upgrade via Centrix (Automatically)
Changes
Configuration File Format Change
- Prior to this firmware release, the SA380 configuration was stored as a binary file. This was non-human readable or editable. Changes could only be applied using additional software tools or via the touchscreen
- Upon upgrade to this firmware release, and going forward; configuration files are now stored as human readable "JSON" files.
- These files are easily read and understood by Centrix. The next firmware release will support configuration changes and configuration management through Centrix.
- An example of the new configuration file is shown below:
The SA380 will now report the time-drift of the on-board clock to Centrix.
- A future release of Centrix will allow monitoring of clock drift to aid data analysis
- The next SA380 firmware release is to support time-broadcast messages from Centrix, allowing all devices that share the Centrix platform exhibit tightly synchronised clocks.
