Centrix R108

Release Date

Summary

Reporting Enhancements

As part of Centrix release 108 we have added several new reports:

Bender Unit Report

A new report type has been added for daily monitoring of Bender insulation monitoring units. This report will help identify any units with poor feeder resistances or logger communications issues.

This report will first detect any sandbox assets that have ‘Bender’ in their name. It will then use any channels with names containing ‘resist’ or ‘insulation’ to generate a report similar to the following Excel spreadsheet:

This new report can be accessed by visiting the Reports section, selecting ‘Create new report’ and then selecting ‘Bender Unit Report’. You will need to select a group or set of groups you want to run the report for and the day you want to run the report over.

Logger out of Contact Report

A new report type has been added to aid in detection of loggers which have recently dropped offline.

To create a Logger out of Contact Report simply select a group (or groups) you want to check the loggers for and how long the logger needs to have been out of contact for (default of 1 hour). Centrix will then generate an excel spreadsheet, with a row for each logger that is greater than your set contact threshold, ordered by Time Since Last Contact / secs descending so loggers that have been out of contact the longest are at the top.

Daily SSI Summary Report

A new report type has been added to aid in detecting issues monitoring SSI devices. This will list all SSI devices, with information on the time since SSI data was last received, logger last contact times, and any missing telegram information for the selected 24 hour time period.

AZLM Improvements

The following AZLM related bugs have been fixed:

AZLM: Asset create doesn't take into account selected list filter

  • When creating new AZLM assets the Site will now be pre-populated in the AZLM definition channel selector filter if a site filter was previously applied on the list page.

AZLM: Allow unknown fields in the definition JSON

  • AZLM definition channels that include additional fields in the JSON data they send to CENTRIX will no longer cause the asset to fail to be created. Instead these additional JSON fields will just be ignored.

AZLM Track Circuit: Select List should be Analogue not Digital for Axles

  • AZLM Axle channel selector now correctly shows relevant analogue channels.

AZLM: assets cannot be created where Detection Points only have a single end point

  • When generating the AZLM asset Centrix cannot always differentiate between channels that have names which start the same; this will display an error when saving the asset. The error message has been improved to give a clearer description when this is the case.

AZLM Track circuits can't be put on the map

  • AZLM Track circuits can now correctly be dragged onto the map from the asset list on the map designer.

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

MFA Enforce for Site Admin and System Admin

As part of MPEC's ongoing ISO 27001 accreditation, MFA has become mandatory for any user with access to logger administrative functions.

MFA will become mandatory for all users in a future release of Centrix.

Per Device MFA

When a user logs in using MFA the login the user will not be prompted for an MFA code when logging in for the next 30 days. In line with the latest security best practice and to reduce the risk of unauthorised access to customer assets in Centrix, this feature will now be applied separately per device if multiple devices are used to access Centrix.

Improved error messaging for on page loading failures

Centrix will now provide more user feedback when a page fails to load due to lack of permissions, outdated links, loss of internet connection or server failure.

Playback

Points graphic improvements

Previously, the points asset graphic on the playback page had a lot of different states with a lot of overlap between them, leading to ambiguity, especially when not all channels were assigned. The points graphic has been changed to add more visual distinctiveness to some of these states.

  • Correctly display the 'default' state for 'Dummy' points (no channels assigned). These points are now more clearly indicated using diagonal stripes.

  • Display unknown for points machines without both NKR and RKR relays (rather than displaying no state)

  • The points state is no longer covered by the unknown state icon when the TR is currently unknown

  • Visual difference between points machines with no TR and those with no channels at all when the additional indicator is not used.

MCS Signal Graphic Improvements

MCS signals can now be displayed as 3, 4, banner, and ground signals (with optional sub signal for 3 and 4 aspect signals). This can be configured in the designer edit dialog when editing any MCS signal.

In additional MCS signals can now be autogenerated for a site from the available channels using the ‘Generate Assets’ button on the site page or the map designer.

Minor amendments and fixed issues

  • Asset channel states table now shows correct type for duplicate channels

  • Slave logger round trip time calculation is now more accurate after logger/Centrix restart.

  • Loggers with Serial numbers of 0 now no longer show as blank on the loggers list page

  • Channel loading performance should now be improved

  • Filtering on playback does not grey out assets that have zero channels

  • Exporting a single item from infinite scrollable lists now works as expected

  • No labels
