MCS systems may be monitored by intercepting the RS422 monitoring link as shown below:
The MCS system utilises an RS422 link, therefore isolation and data security is provided through an independent single-direction, isolating RS422 to RS485 converter fed from the isolated power output of the HZS module.
Connection of the S-LX system is via a monitoring port. The MCS system may remain in service during installation.
RS422 Isolator and appropriate cables shall be provided
