Master logger needs generic firmware 1.5G540 or newer, slave logger needs 5.1.3 or newer.
Setting up master & slave with SA380s no longer requires careful IP address selection. Each slave must be able to route to the master, and the master must be able to route to each slave. This provides a lot of flexibility, however:

The TCP/IP network must be relatively fast (>1 MBS) and relatively low latency (< 5mS). The use of RS485 range extenders, for example, is not recommended. Mpec advise the loggers are all attached to the same hub, and that no other traffic is present on the master slave network. |
