The SA380 now supports remote firmware upgrade via the Centrix platform.
For these reasons, Users are strongly advised to upgrade The advanced Centrix features are still under development, but will be rolled out gradually over the coming months. Upon upgrade, older SA380, dial-up devices will immediately change-over their connection to use the latest mpec RailDAQ protocol and call-home to Centrix |

Changes
Configuration File Format Change
- Prior to this firmware release, the SA380 configuration was stored as a binary file. This was non-human readable or editable. Changes could only be applied using additional software tools or via the touchscreen
- Upon upgrade to this firmware release, and going forward; configuration files are now stored as human readable "JSON" files.
- These files are easily read and understood by Centrix. The next firmware release will support configuration changes and configuration management through Centrix.
- An example of the new configuration file is shown below:

The SA380 will now report the time-drift of the on-board clock to Centrix.
- A future release of Centrix will allow monitoring of clock drift to aid data analysis
- The next SA380 firmware release is to support time-broadcast messages from Centrix, allowing all devices that share the Centrix platform exhibit tightly synchronised clocks.
