Consistency checking of capture traces against capture trace episodes
The capture trace episode detection algorithm that is used in the points alarm will always try and locate the episode in a trace even if it's not a particularly good fit. We were finding that this was causing a lot of false alerts and have introduced a consistency check. The updated algorithm first checks the consistency of the trace against the episode before trying to fit it and then ignores the trace if it is not a good fit.
On the Capture Episodes page you can check if an episode is a good fit when making use of the "Find in Current Trace" button. A message will be shown if the trace is not a good fit. The example below shows an episode for a points "current trace" compared against a "pressure trace".
Additional diagnostic information provided in log messages for MIMOSA loggers
The message log for MIMOSA loggers (SA380 TX/TXL) now shows additional diagnostic information after receiving events.
The additional information is in square brackets, the first number shows the number of raw events in the original message and the date after the forward slash shows the date and time of the latest event contained within the whole message.
